Parent Participation:
Toddlearn® believes that Parent Participation is the key to a successful school year no matter what grade a child is in. We encourage parental involvement and welcome you to stay and participate in our daily activities for however long you feel comfortable. You are welcome to stay at school with your child and volunteer to help out in the classroom, or you are more than welcome to walk your child in to class, help them get settled and then come back at the end of class to pick them up. You MUST walk your child in to class, sign them in and make sure that the teacher knows your child is there before you leave. If you are staying to volunteer in the classroom…Parents are encouraged to give their child as much space as possible. You are not required to be with your child at all times, in fact you are encouraged to let your child participate in the activities without you being directly involved. Each child will require a different amount of parental involvement. If your child prefers to have you right with them at all times then you are certainly welcome to be there. If your child allows you to give them a little more space you are certainly encouraged to take this opportunity to help foster a little independence. As time goes on your child will require your participation less and less and this is a good thing.  When volunteering in the class your ultimate responsibilities in class are to assist the teacher with any student “Potty Breaks” and to encourage any children that are not participating to participate. _______

Potty Training:
Any child who is not fully potty trained MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian until they are fully potty trained. It is the responsibility of the parent to take care of any diaper/pull-up needs. Children will be given regular “potty breaks” and we do understand that accidents happen. All children must carry an extra pair of clothes in their backpacks just in case, however diaper and pull-up changes will not be done by the teacher. _______

Art:
All arts and crafts projects are intended to be “process oriented” not “product oriented”. It is the process of creating the art and what is learned and experienced in that process that truly matters, not the end result. _______

Healthy Children:
Nothing is more important than the health of all of our Toddlearn® families.
If your child has vomited, had diarrhea or has had a fever within the last 24 hours they should stay home and rest. If your child is showing visible signs of a cold they should not attend Toddlearn®. _______

Clothing:
Although most of our Arts & Crafts materials will come out of clothing, comfortable “Play clothes” should be worn to class and Park. Children wear socks or go barefoot and parents wear socks. Your child should have an extra pair of clothes in their backpack at all time just in case of an accident. _______

Refunds:
Registration fees are non-refundable. You must give a 30 day written notice if you are to withdraw from preschool prior to the end of the school year. There will be no refund or prorated tuition charges fro missed classes. _______

Missed Classes:
We eagerly anticipate and prepare for all of the children to be in class on their scheduled day. If you know in advance that you will have to miss a class, please let the teacher know as soon as possible. Missed classes will not be refunded. _______

Discipline Policy:
Re-direction and Positive Reinforcement are the keys to a happy and successful preschool experience. All children have different learning styles, interests and attention spans and no two children should be expected to act and perform the same at any given time. Children learn through play and will be given several hands on opportunities to learn and explore in this exciting environment. Your child’s individuality will always be celebrated at Toddlearn®. Safety is a priority and it is never OK for any child to endanger the well being of any of the other children. Through positive reinforcement of desired behaviors, redirection of unwanted behaviors and through the teaching of respect of others we strive to offer an educationally, emotionally and socially superior preschool environment. _______

Pick Up:
You must arrive to pick up your child within 10 minutes of the end of class. If you are more than 10 minutes late you are subject to additional charges in the amount of $12 for each additional 10 minute period you are late. It makes children nervous and scared when they are left waiting for their parents and schedules dictate that the teacher has other commitments after the end of class. Please be courteous and always be on time to pick up your children from school. When you arrive you must NEVER leave with your child unless you have verbally spoken with the teacher to let them you will be leaving. No one will be allowed to leave with your child other than those named on the Enrollment Agreement. If someone other than the parents/guardians and Emergency Contact listed on the enrollment form is going to pick up your child you must let the teacher know in advance.

*Toddlearn® offers a variety of educationally based recreation programs for preschool age children. Our focus is on the social, emotional, physical and cognitive well being of all of our members.
